"Horrible Bosses" review

Horrible Bosses 3-1/2 stars
trailers

Like so many other recent movies, this one was not as good as it could have been.  The theme is great but they feel short in some places.  Without a doubt, the "bosses" steal the show.  All 3 of them are outstanding, with Jennifer Aniston outshining everyone.  Her performance alone is worth seeing.  I'm not going to ruin it for those of you that might go see it, but suffice it to say, you've never seen her like this before, and it will blow you away.  Kevin Spacey is always great and Colin Farrell is hysterical.  As far as the others are concerned, Bateman, like Spacey, is always good.  Jason Sudeikis is OK, but seeing him as a gigolo playboy isn't too believable.  To me, Charlie Day ruined the movie.  I know he's a favorite of a lot of people, but in this role, I think he lowered the movie a notch.  That squeaky voice was brutal.  Mishy said it was perfect for Ben Stiller.  Imagine that!  That would have been killer.  It's a good character, in my opinion he just doesn't fit.  There is a stretch towards the middle of the movie that lulls a bit.  Truth be told, I dozed a bit.  Finally, we felt Jamie Foxx was underutilized a bit.  They could have found anyone to do his part.  He was overqualified.  Still, it's worth the ticket.
