Save money on Energy while going GREEN

Not long ago, the company I work for hired a consultant to reduce our utility costs.  A few weeks ago, the consultant came back in to extend an opportunity to the employees.  Afterward, I realized that this is also available to anyone and everyone, in participating states.  The energy utility markets have been deregulated, like the phone companies were.  3rd party energy suppliers can sell energy (usually at lower rates) while the current (pun always intended) utility still handles billing, services, and reading the meter.  Basically, if you live in a PSE&G service area and switch over, you'll still get the same PSE&G bill only the supply portion will list a 3rd party.  Over time this can amount to considerable savings.  


This company also guarantees using at least 20% renewable energy, like solar, wind, water power, etc.  Needless to say, I signed up immediately.  I liked the fact that my bill and service would still come from the same company, there is no enrollment or cancellation fees, and I could cancel any time.  No brainer.
